Attitude Measures
Instruments are developed in educational and behavioural science research to measure the positive or negative evaluation and disposition of individuals towards objects of attention, including people, groups, policies, practices and abstract concepts and relationships.
Such attitudes are learned and internalised and are consequently relatively persistent and stable characteristics of individuals. Attitude measures commonly involve a scaled series of statements or questions designed to assess the strength and direction of the underlying attitude.
